Long Distance Feri Training
(Course length will be determined by the pace of the individual)
 $20-40 per month, sliding scale

For those individuals who wish to participate in my Feri classes but are unable to attend due to mobility, location, or other issues, I am offering a long-distance alternative. This foundational class is based on my Level One Feri training course.  Covered topics include:

          o History of the Tradition
          o Meditation
          o Cleansing/Kala
          o Aligning the Three Souls
o The Iron and Pearl Pentacles
o The Black Heart of Innocence
          o The Elements of Feri
o Working with the Feri Current
          o Spellwork
          o Basic Feri Ritual
          o Working Tools
          o The Guardians
          o The Divine Twins
o The Infinitum (Gods of the Feri Lemniscate)

Using mailed lessons, group email discussion, art projects, and occasional internet voice-chat sessions (via Skype), the student will be guided through various aspects of Feri, culminating in the establishment of a Feri tradition spiritual practice. Students who complete this course will be eligible for enrollment in my Level Two in-person Feri training class. (For more information please visit my Feri Training page.)

Interested parties should complete the Class Application and send it, along with a cover letter and a SASE, to:

Storm, one question...

The video/voice discussions would be quite tough for me, as a partially deaf person to do. Also I am in college, but would only be able to do maybe two or three months at a time.

Would we be able to work out a compromise for those limitations?

I'm actually not sure if I would be able to accommodate you, or not. The main tool that I have at my disposal for the Long Distance class is my voice and if that wont work then I'm not sure that I would be able to convey the training over distance. I'll have to meditate on it. As for the time limitation, the long distance course is individually paced, so there shouldn't be any problem there

Where are you located? Would it be possible to meet in person a couple times to "get things going", so to speak? That might help with the lack of voice interaction.

Email me at webmaster@faerywolf.com and let's talk about it.

Dear Storm

Firstly, I am very new to this tradition, only having come across it a few days ago. I think though, in that time, I've managed to devour pretty much everything I can find online. Obviously though, this is a tradition that can only be understood through the practice.

I have looked at your distance training curriculum and it looks great, but I am in Australia and so it seems I am limited to the "first order" training. Does that mean I would have no way to progress after that point (short of going to America?)

Also I have a query about the various people running classes and providing training on the "classes" section of your site. I am aware that Victor, though liberal about the concept of charging money for services, seemed pretty clear that monies should not be accepted for any services that were directly designed to lead to initiation. However, every single person cited on your list charges for training, one in particular charging a particularly exorbitant sum. I note you also charge, but the amount seems little more than covering costs, and on a sliding scale.

I know you can't, and wouldn't, criticise these other practitioners, but is it not reasonable that I view this whole issue with some degree of wariness? As it stands, I can't see how I could approach them with any degree of confidence given Victor's stance on the matter. Or perhaps I have misunderstood?

Thanks

Hello there.

Not everyone charges for Feri training. Veedub (Valerie Walker) for example, offers a Long Distance course for free, but I do think that it is now closed.

I also heard that Victor was opposed to charging money for classes leading to initiation.  I can understand why, for at some in point the work is really about welcoming someone in whom you have established a deep connection with. I do not charge money for that level of training (what I am calling "Level 3"), but I would not harshly judge someone who does. We all have different needs and some of us need to get paid more than others in order to make ends meet.

This is one of the many reasons that I put together FeriTradition.com... so that potential students could compare what teachers were offering, and so make a better informed decision as to what they thought might work best fro them.

Now, some people don't think that people should be charging at all for spiritual instruction. If this is how you feel then I'm sure that there are teachers who could accommodate you. I charge for my time because I put a lot of work into my classes and give a lot of attention to each student on an individual basis. I am not independently wealthy, so I must charge for my time, or I cannot offer it at all. I make no apologies for it as I know that I am worth much more than I am charging.

Now, as for continuing after Level One: Level One is designed to be pretty much complete within itself, meaning that at the completion of Level One you will have learned a workable and powerful form of Feri tradition spiritual and magical practice. Most people will never need to go any further than that. For those who are called deeper into the priesthood (i.e. their inner calling is to be a priest/ess of the Feri tradition) then those people will need to arrange to come to continue their training with me in person. I know of another teacher who will offer Level Two via distance, but I know of no one who will offer to initiate someone this way. Feri is a very personal path, and at some point you just need to sit in the presence of the initiate teacher in order to have the necessary energetic shifts to prepare one for the initiation rite.

I hope that explains it to me in a way that is helpful. If you have any other question please email me at storm@faerywolf.com.

To Storm

I have just run into this today while i was online. I know that means i don't know much about it but it really caught my attention. I read about as much as i could find from different web sites and links. At this moment i do not have any means to be able to pay you for long distance training, considering that i am un employed. But i was hoping that perhaps i might be able to talk with you about certain questions i might come across untill i can afford the actual first level training. Please don't get me wrong, i 'm not trying to make it sound like i want to mooch information off of you for free. That isn't what i am asking at all. All i am trying to say is i would like your guidance if need be..

Hopefully sometime soon i might be able to get a job, and be able to pay for the sessions. I really would like to learn everything i can about this.

On another note i did have one question already. I was wondering how exactly would we meet up if ever made to step two. I was just currious if it meant we should sae up money to come to your place and see you, or just how it might work out.

Sorry for taking up your time mister Storm
